After going 6-11 this past season, the NY Giants have to make sure to get things right during the NFL Draft and free agency. Joe Schoen knows he has to absolutely crush it over the next few months, with improvements for the offense surely needing to be at the top of his list.

There's been plenty of speculation on how the Giants might improve the offense for Daniel Jones, assuming he'll be the starter in 2024. Rumors have swirled that the Giants could overpay for a WR in free agency, or try to trade for Stefon Diggs. However, giving up draft capital for a 30-year-old wideout doesn't make sense. Using the No. 6 overall pick on a young receiver, though, surely does.

Here's why the NY Giants should draft Malik Nabers in the first round

The Giants offense this past season, and over the last few years for that matter, has been hard to watch. From the offensive line not protecting Jones and the offense not being able to move the football and score points, it's been frustrating to see. At some point, an electric playmaker is needed and that is why the Giants should draft wideout Malik Nabers out of LSU in the first round.

The Giants, believe it or not, have not drafted a wide receiver in the first round since 2014 when they selected a guy named Odell Beckham Jr. He turned out pretty strong. As for Nabers, he is an unreal playmaker, with some analysts even thinking he's the top wideout in the class over Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr.

Nabers was sensational during his time with LSU, including back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns. Nabers made a huge name for himself this past year, as he led the SEC in receiving with 1,569 yards, while adding 14 touchdowns (No. 2 in the conference). That kind of production is out of this world.

Right now the Giants don't have a No. 1 WR on their roster - they also haven't had a WR finish with 1,000 yards since Beckham got that job done in 2018. Nabers has shown what he is capable of. If Jones remains healthy next season and the Giants improve their offensive line, the stud out of LSU could make an instant impact for the G-Men. Get this kid to East Rutherford.
