That quite literally could not have gone worse for the NY Giants. In a Monday Night Football showdown with the Seattle Seahawks, the offense, defense and special teams were brutal to watch in primetime.

Brian Daboll was furious from start to finish and NY supporters are ready to throw in the towel on the season thanks to the 1-3 start. The Giants don't even look close to being a playoff-caliber team. Monday's loss was filled with embarrassing efforts, including these four plays in particular:

4. Daniel Jones fumble in the first quarter

You're going to be read about Daniel Jones a lot in this piece and not for good reason. Jones had another terrible showing and things looked rough for him early on. In the first quarter, Jones recorded a costly fumble, with the Seahawks jumping all over the ball shortly after. This wasn't all on Jones, though, as the offensive line didn't do it's job. Shocker, right?

Marcus McKethan looked absolutely lost on this play and Shane Lemieux was no better. Lemieux was forced to enter the game at left guard because usual LG Ben Bredeson moved to center following the injury to John Michael Schmitz. Shortly after the Seahawks recorded this turnover, Geno Smith hit DK Metcalf for a touchdown pass.

That gave the Seahawks an early lead and Seattle never looked back. Jones now has 24 lost fumbles to his name in this five-year career. This one put the Seahawks in a great position to score thanks to the field position and the Hawks took advantage of the Danny Dimes gift.

3. The missed tackles on the Noah Fant 51-yard gain

The tackling for the Giants was a disgrace against the 49ers, but the defense worked on things during practice the past week. Did they actually? Once again, after missing 16 last week, tackling was a major issue for the Giants against the Seahawks. Things officially hit rock bottom for the Giants D on a 51-yard gain by Noah Fant.

Facing 3rd-and-10, the Seahawks had Drew Lock in at quarterback after Smith suffered a knee injury. Lock hit Fant for a decent gain, but he ended up turning upfield and was finally brought down by Isaiah Simmons at the one-yard line. However, Fant really had no business nearly scoring a touchdown on this play:

Bobby Okereke had a chance to bring Fant down, but it looked like he tried to shove him out of bounds instead of bringing him down. That simply can't happen. Then, moments later, cornerback Adoree' Jackson also missed a tackle on Fant. How does this even happen? The effort level just isn't there for this defense.

2. Evan Neal getting taken to school (again) on a Daniel Jones sack

There's really nothing good you can say about the play of the Giants offensive line. Things are so bad, countless fans on social media are calling for Joe Schoen to fire position coach Bobby Johnson after his group gave up 11 sacks against the Seahawks. Everyone had an off night for the G-Men, including Evan Neal.

Unfortunately for Neal, he's somehow getting worse with each game. This is the 2022 No. 7 overall pick we're talking about. Neal didn't play well during his rookie season, but the expectation was that he'd be able to improve during his second campaign. He worked his tail off this offseason to get better. Despite that, we're not seeing anything positive from him, especially not here:

This isn't the kind of effort you should see for a starting right tackle in the NFL. This isn't even the kind of effort you should see from a college freshman. Neal never had a chance at preventing the Seattle pass-rusher from putting pressure on Jones. Quite frankly, we're getting sick and tired of having to write about how bad the OL looks each week. They must improve, especially Neal.

1. The Daniel Jones pick-six was truly disgusting

You already knew what was going to be No. 1 on our list. What in the world was Jones doing down in the red zone? As you already saw, Jones was trying to hit Parris Campbell for a touchdown to try and bring NY within 14-10 in the second half. Instead, Jones forced a throw and rookie cornerback Devon Witherspook was there to make him pay:

Giants Nation has been blasting Jones for that decision and Coach Dabes was quite upset with him as well. In his postgame presser, the second-year HC said he wouldn't get into any particulars on what he discussed with Jones, but it was quite clear he was furious with what he saw out of his QB. Daboll was so upset, cameras caught him tossing a tablet near Jones when showing him his mistake.

Darren Waller looked to be open for what would have been an easy touchdown, but Jones missed him. In total, Jones had three turnovers on the night, which just can't happen. Yes, for the 100th time, the offensive line was a joke, but Jones has to be better than what he showcased against Seattle. After so much excitement from last year, Jones has taken several steps back in '23.
