The New York Football Giants are riding a two-game winning streak and are now just two games behind the Minnesota Vikings for the final NFC Wild Card spot.
Tommy DeVito has been a very serviceable quarterback, but don't let the current standings fool you; this Giants team may not win another game this season. New York's five remaining games are against Green Bay, New Orleans, the Los Angeles Rams, and Philadelphia (twice), all teams with playoff aspirations.
Well, 4-13 and a top-three pick are still in the cards for Big Blue. Currently, they hold the sixth pick in the draft. Here is my latest mock draft as we enter the month of December:
NY Giants first-round pick: LSU QB Jayden Daniels
It would be a significant upset if Drake Maye, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Caleb Williams were not the top three picks in the 2024 Draft, and right now, the Giants aren't in a position to get any of the three. The two most likely positions for Joe Schoen to target in the first round in April are quarterback and wide receiver, especially considering he has already spent first-round picks at cornerback, offensive tackle, and edge rusher.
Jayden Daniels, who will be a Heisman Trophy finalist, is quickly becoming QB3 in this class, and for good reason. His game and ability resemble Lamar Jackson. Through five college seasons, Daniels has completed 953 of his 1,438 pass attempts for 12,749 yards and 89 touchdowns to just 20 interceptions. Daniels has also rushed for 3,307 yards and 34 touchdowns on 617 attempts.

This season, Daniels has thrown for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with just four interceptions while rushing for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns. Joe Burrow had one of the best quarterback seasons in college football history in 2019 for LSU, but Daniels has managed to one-up him. He would fit Brian Daboll's offense seamlessly.
NY Giants second-round pick: Washington OL Troy Fautanu
Big Blue needs help along the offensive line, but they aren't looking to replace Evan Neal just yet and will give him every opportunity to turn into a franchise tackle in 2024.
The Giants could use some help on the interior and as tackle depth. Troy Fautanu could provide both. He is not a guard or tackle but a true offensive lineman. Fautanu has primarily played left tackle in college and has done so rather dominantly, but he also has college experience at guard. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has Fautanu listed as a guard. In fact, he is listed as the No. 1 guard prospect in the 2024 class.
Over the last three seasons, Fautanu has allowed just three sacks and four hits. The 6-4, 317-pounder is a plug-and-play prospect. His versatility makes him an ideal Giants 2024 Draft candidate.
NY Giants second-round pick: LSU WR Brian Thomas Jr.
Brian Thomas Jr. is a rapidly rising prospect and would be able to continue to work with the quarterback he has developed a great rapport with. Two LSU stars, Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, are flourishing together in the pros, so why not try to replicate that and bring a star-studded LSU pairing to the Big Apple?
The junior, a 6-4 standout, who plays alongside potential Giants first-round target Malik Nabers, played sparingly during his first two college seasons, but has been an absolute force in 2023 and has helped enhance Daniels' draft stock. Thomas had 60 catches for 1,079 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2023.

NY Giants third-round pick: Florida State RB Troy Benson
The 2024 running back class is absolutely loaded, and the Giants could be fortunate enough to land a superb talent in the draft's middle rounds.
Troy Benson began his career at Oregon and then transferred to Florida State after his freshman season. Benson has rushed for 1,850 yards on 298 carries in his college career with 24 touchdowns. Benson has already rushed for 858 yards this season, and with two games to go, he should surpass his career-high of 990 in 2022.
That’s 6’1”, 223 of Trey Benson reaching 22.0 mph on this 85-yard TD run.

Benson, just 21 years old, has minimal tread on his tires, which could serve both him and the team that drafts him very well as he enters the professional ranks. He could be a great fit for the Giants if they decide to bring him to town.
NY Giants fourth-round pick: Colorado State EDGE Mohamed Kamara
The Giants need more juice off the edge behind Kayvon Thibodeaux and Azeez Ojulari. Mohamed Kamara, the 2023 Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year, could be an elite mid-round find. This kid is the real deal.
In his five-season college career, Kamara, who played all five seasons at Colorado State, recorded 146 pressures, 85 hurries, 32 sacks (14 in 2023), and 29 hits. The 6-1, 250-pounder is Mel Kiper Jr.'s No. 6 ranked defensive end in the 2024 class.

NY Giants fifth-round pick: Florida WR Ricky Pearsall
The Giants don't just need top-end receivers; they also need talented wideouts to fill out the back-end of the receiving room. Ricky Pearsall would do just that.
Through five college seasons, three at Arizona State and the last two at Florida, Pearsall has hauled in 159 passes for 2,420 receptions and 14 touchdowns. As you can see in the video below, this kid can flat out ball.

Pearsall isn't just a wideout. Pearsall was Florida's punt returner in 2023, and given the Giants struggles returning punts this season, they could stand to add another guy there this offseason. Pearsall's versatility is something the Giants front office craves.
NY Giants sixth-round pick: Ohio State LB Steele Chambers
For the first time in a very long time, New York is set at inside linebacker with Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden. Isaiah Simmons is New York's third ILB, but he will hit free agency this offseason. If he is not re-signed, New York will need to add at least another one, and Schoen has already proven he can find quality linebackers.
Steele Chambers has carried a heavy load all three seasons at Ohio State, registering 155 tackles. Chambers is quite reliable when it comes to bringing guys down. Just ask Norhwestern fans about what he can do on the gridiron:

— Big Ten Network (@BigTenNetwork) November 5, 2022
Chambers has primarily played in the box at Ohio State, but has played over 100 snaps on the defensive line and in the slot. Schoen drafted McFadden (6-2, 232 pounds) in the fifth round of the 2022 draft, and he could opt to grab Chambers (6-1, 232 pounds), a fellow Big Ten bruiser, in the late rounds of 2024.
