This was what fans had been waiting for: a complete game from the NY Giants on both sides of the ball. Washington was a big-time favorite to cruise to a victory over the G-Men, but Brian Daboll and Co. had other ideas. Big Blue was able to post a 31-19 victory and everyone in New Jersey/New York loved it.
The fanbase hasn't had a lot to celebrate in recent weeks, but goodness, the performance against the Commanders was needed. Not only was this a complete team effort, but several guys were able to get a lot of their haters off their backs. The list includes these four guys in particular:
4. Nick McCloud
After struggling to find a home immediately in the NFL after a successful career at Notre Dame, Nick McCloud is making the most of his opportunities in NY. McCloud successfully set the tone early on Sunday and grabbed his first career interception on an overthrown ball by Sam Howell.
The athletic grab started an excellent day for McCloud, who defended a pass, forced a big fumble, and accounted for four tackles. McCloud continues to show Wink Martindale why his role in the Giants' secondary should grow for the rest of the campaign.
McCloud clocked 28 snaps on Sunday and is starting to become a player who makes an impact every time he steps on the field. As his experience and comfort in the system grows, expect to see more of McCloud as time passes. With more performances like Sunday, the Giants will have no choice but to reward McCloud with more snaps.

3. Darius Slayton
The Giants have struggled to stretch the field and create explosive plays with Tommy DeVito at quarterback. Heading into Week 11, it was clear that something needed to change to give the Giants a fighting chance against a porous Washington secondary. A Giants pass-catcher needed to step up with Darren Waller still hit with the injury bug. Fortunately, Darius Slayton did just that.
Despite only playing one half of football, Slayton led the team in receiving yards and hauled in a 40-yard touchdown pass from DeVito. With DeVito getting comfortable as the starting quarterback, he must build a rapport with playmakers like Slayton. This touchdown was a thing of beauty, with Slayton finishing the score in style:

Slayton's abilities have never been doubted; however, his health and effectiveness on the field have. Now dealing with an arm injury that held him out of the second half of last Sunday's matchup, Slayton will look to heal up before the Giants host the New England Patriots at MetLife. Let's hope he doesn't miss extended time.
2. Saquon Barkley
Like Slayton, the talent of Saquon Barkley is undeniable. However, after failing to find the endzone in three straight games and seeing his total yards decline in each one - fans were starting to wonder if his body was struggling to hold up.
Heading into Week 11, it was known that Barkley would need to be effective to give the Giants a chance. Barkley answered the bell, totaling 140 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns, continuing his dominance over the Commanders. Barkley's first TD grab was downright perfect, with DeVito throwing a dime to him in the corner of the end zone:

In this matchup, it was great to see Barkley so effective in the passing game. Providing DeVito with easy completions was massive for his confidence and opened up one-on-one opportunities downfield. With four catches on Sunday, look for Barkley to continue to be a force in a multitude of ways for the rest of the season.
1. Tommy DeVito
Last, and certainly not least, is DeVito. The Cedar Grove, N.J. native has taken the narrative of the "hometown kid" and run with it. With reports emerging that DeVito is still the recipient of homemade chicken cutlets and his mother doing his laundry - DeVito has made national headlines first for his living situation and now for his Week 11 performance.
What stood out most on Sunday was DeVito's confidence. Playing free and being willing to let it loose served DeVito well as he continues his fight to remain the Giants quarterback through the rest of the season. With 253 total yards and three touchdowns, DeVito is not making any decision easy for Brian Daboll.
"He was a good, young player to work with and develop. Things kind of sped up for him. He's done a good job since he's been here."

With the Giants continuing to try to make the most out of a disappointing season, look for the G-Men to continue playing hard-nosed football as the season comes to the home stretch. DeVito is going to get another start on Sunday and people are hopeful he can power this team to another win, this time against the Pats.
