Still over the moon after the NY Giants were able to stun the Green Bay Packers on Monday night? It was a win to remember, with guys on both sides of the ball stepping up HUGE to help the G-Men improve to 5-8 on the year. It goes without saying, but Deonte Banks is surely on the list.

The No. 24 overall pick had yet another impressive showing, this time recording an incredible performance against a Packers offense that had been looking sensational in recent weeks. Banks' night was highlighted by an incredible pass deflection to prevent a GB score. The slow motion view of the PBU makes it even better:

Deonte Banks looked like a superstar in the MNF win over the Packers

Come on, that was a perfect rep from Banks. Had he not stuck his hand in at the last second, the Packers would have six points on the board and they potentially could have gone for two to try and tie things up. Instead, Banks was there for the heroics.

On the night, the first-round pick finished with a team-high 12 tackles and this sensational pass deflection. If you think he's getting better with each game, hey, we're not going to argue with you there on that one. Banks has lived up to the hype and he's playing much better than other guys taken ahead of him.

Banks has been a joy to watch and he plays the game with a ton of confidence. He feels like a perfect fit for this defense and he's exactly the kind of player Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale must have been hoping he'd become through this point of the campaign.

The Giants defense as a whole looked fantastic against the Packers, a team that arrived to East Rutherford after shocking the Chiefs in Week 13. This time around, however, it was the Giants who posted the head-turning win, with Banks and Co. making the necessary plays late to get things done.
