In terms of signing their 2024 NFL Draft picks, Joe Schoen and the NY Giants are officially on the board. Taken in the fifth round of the draft, Purdue's Tyrone Tracy Jr. is going to look to make a difference for the ground game, but also special teams.

The running back is coming off an impressive senior season and he's now locked in with the G-Men. According to Art Stapleton, the Giants and Tracy finalized his rookie contract, with him set to make $4.3 million over the next four years.

Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. has signed his four-year rookie contract

Tracy indeed is the first youngster to get things done in terms of getting a rookie deal signed, but no need to worry, as the others will be joining in sooner rather than later. This includes No. 6 overall pick Malik Nabers, who everyone is hoping can post at least 1,000 receiving yards in 2024.

With Tracy, he's also going to be ready to make a difference for Brian Daboll's offense, as he's expected to get a decent workload working alongside Devin Singletary. With Saquon Barkley out of town and now with the Eagles, Singletary will lead the running backs room, but Tracy will be there to take some of the load off of him.

Former fifth-round pick Eric Gray will also be in the mix to help out, but he's coming off a disappointing rookie season. Tracy can also turn heads on special teams, as he's got the pace to be a burner in the return game.

Last season for Purdue, the new Giants RB rushed for 716 yards and eight touchdowns, while returning 16 kicks for 408 yards - an average of more than 25 yards per return. His addition to the roster is obviously good news for running backs coach Joel Thomas, plus special teams coordinator Mike Ghobrial.
