The NY Giants are one of the younger teams in the NFL, and this past draft they bolstered their young talent with excellent selections. In particular, the Giants two first-round picks, EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux and OT Evan Neal, have been impressing the coaching staff lining up against each other. On top of those two, Daniel Bellinger and Wan’Dale Robinson could turn out to be very valuable offensive pieces for New York this season, and in the future.
With preseason action coming up very shortly, fans will get to see these talented rookies in a live game for the first time. Throughout the summer so far, these four have impressed the coaching staff and press with their improvements day-by-day, and overall talent.
4. Pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux
The Giants had a need for a pass-rusher and they got just that with the fifth overall selection in this past draft. Thibodeaux could turn out to be an x-factor for New York’s defense right away, and many expect just that.
As of right now the plan is for the fifth overall pick to start Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans. So far he has been impressing many, and during camp he has been giving the first team offensive line a hard time.
In his senior season at Oregon, the youngster recorded seven sacks in only just 10 games. Numerous times he was disturbing opposing teams’ quarterbacks, with his ability to get past offensive linemen quickly.

Coming out of Oregon, he himself has high expectations. The rookie expects nothing but the best on the field, and fans should be excited for the energy Thibodeaux will bring to the defense not only this season, but hopefully for a long time.

3. OT Evan Neal
For years the biggest flaw of the New York Giants has been their offensive line. Quarterback, Daniel Jones has been sacked 105 times in just three seasons so far. Luckily, the team was blessed with two top 10 picks in the draft and landed OT Neal out of Alabama with the seventh overall selection.
At just 21 years old, he will likely have his blurs. Overall, though, his development is something that fans should keep an eye on, as he is very athletic for his size and position. Throughout his three seasons playing at Alabama, he was one of the top offensive linemen in college football.

During his time at Alabama he showed to be not only a very skilled lineman, but a durable one too. Like Thibodeaux, Neal is also expected to start Week 1. He could be a very useful piece for this Giants offense, and will join Andrew Thomas as another hoss that fans will have high hopes for.
At camp, Neal has done nothing but impress lining up against his rookie teammate Thibodeaux. Although he has been beaten at times, the Giants coaching staff has been pleased with the strides he’s made, along with the work he’s put in. Neal will be on the field for a lot of snaps in his rookie season, and his work at training camp this year will hopefully pay off.

2. WR Wan’Dale Robinson
The Giants used a second-round pick on Kentucky product Wan’Dale Robinson. Fans will be excited to see what the young receiver can do, as he has shown his route running capabilities, vision and speed despite lacking size.
The coaching staff has high hopes for the 21-year-old receiver, as they have been pleased with what he’s shown at training camp so far this summer. In fact, some are even saying that he could be taking on a starting role.

With his talent and athleticism, he could be a dangerous starting slot receiver. He has all the tools to do just that, and could be a perfect fit alongside the other receivers.
In his senior season at Kentucky, Robinson shined, as he tallied over 1,300 yards and recorded seven touchdowns. He has the ability to break loose in the open field with his speed and vision, and fans shouldn’t be surprised to see Robinson show his abilities in the regular season.

1. TE Daniel Bellinger
In the fourth round of this past draft, the Giants decided to roll with the big tight end out of San Diego State, Daniel Bellinger. Bellinger is very strong, and was an above average blocker for his position during college. During camp though, Bellinger has been trying to make a name for himself receiving wise.
Bellinger got to experience Tight End University, which featured prominent stars at the position, such as Travis Kelce and George Kittle. He chatted with the NY Post afterwards, and explained what he learned from his time there. It was a great experience overall for him.

These Giants rookies are all talented, but the most important trait they have is their high motivation. Bellinger, like the rest of the rookies is very motivated to continue to learn and get better.
This upcoming season is going to be a big one, as the first year for the new regime will be looking to make a statement. Luckily, it looks like the players they recently selected in the draft are ready for their moments.
