It looks like there isn't going to be any kind of quarterback controversy in East Rutherford after all - well, not for the NY Giants at least. We can't speak for the Jets. For the past week, a lot of fans have been wondering who Brian Daboll will rock with as his starter against the Packers.

Tyrod Taylor was expected to be the guy once Daniel Jones went down, but he was forced to be placed on Injured Reserve due to a serious rib injury against the Jets. Now that he's healthy, though, he's still going to have the football out of his hands.

Tommy DeVito named the Giants starter for Week 14 vs. Green Bay

That's because Tommy DeVito will be leading the offense out in primetime against the Packers next Monday night. On Tuesday afternoon, Daboll met with the media and he announced that DeVito, AKA Tommy Cutlets, will the starter against Green Bay. Daboll said the rookie earned the right to keep playing, which we can't argue with.

DeVito will now be making his fourth start of the year, hoping to earn his third win. DeVito is 2-1, suffering a loss against the Cowboys, but taking down the Commanders and Patriots in back-to-back games. DeVito was brilliant in the win over Washington, throwing for 246 yards and three touchdowns. He followed that up with 191 yards and one TD vs. New England.

Taylor has more experience than DeVito, but Tommy D has been playing solid football in recent weeks and he's playing for a chance to be QB2 moving forward. With Taylor likely set to leave this offseason, it doesn't make a ton of sense to keep on playing him in what feels like a lost season.

The Giants have an outside chance of making the postseason, but Daboll and Co. need to keep seeing what kind of potential DeVito has. This feels like the right call.

Kayvon Thibodeaux calls out Eagles over their tush-push play

In surprising fashion, one of the major topics of conversation this year has been the Eagles lining up a heavy package up front, getting Jalen Hurts right under center, then pushing his bottom forward to try and either get a first down or a touchdown. Yup, we're talking about the one and only 'tush-push play' that has been quite controversial.

So much in fact, reports have stated that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell could look to ban things in the future. Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson saw this and decided to reply to things on social media, backing Philly for their one-of-a-kind play. Kayvon Thibodeaux had no choice but to rip the Eagles in the best way possible:

In just eight words, Thibodeaux took down the Eagles and all of their fans who continue to think the tush-push play should still be legal. The Giants have tried this a handful of times this season, including against the Seahawks in Week 3. In that loss, both Daniel Bellinger and center John Michael Schmitz got injured trying to push Daniel Jones forward. Only time will tell if Goodell ends up banning this or not, but Thibodeaux sure has seen enough of it.

NY Giants select Jayden Daniels in yet another NFL Mock Draft

While some Big Blue fans are hopeful that either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye will make their way to East Rutherford next season, it's not looking likely at this point - not unless the G-Men lose the final five games of the year. Despite that, a stud QB could still be available to them in the Top 10.

We're talking of course about Jayden Daniels, the superstar QB for the LSU Tigers. Daniels is a Heisman finalist and the oddsmakers think he'll end up lifting the trophy. Plenty of analysts also think that Daniels could be taken off the board at No. 7 overall by the G-Men next spring. How would fans feel about this?

Over the past month, several NFL Mock Drafts have Daniels headed to the Giants. This week, The 33rd Team dropped a new mock, with Daniels being the pick for the Giants with their '24 first-rounder. They also have Williams going to the Chicago Bears and Maye being selected by the Patriots at No. 2 overall. If Daniels is still available when the Giants are on the clock, it could be too tough for Schoen to pass up on him.
