What in the world do the NY Giants need to do to get a little bit of respect? After going 9-7-1 last year and making the postseason, general manager Joe Schoen has improved this roster in a head-turning way on both sides of the ball.

Darren Waller, Bobby Okereke, Jalin Hyatt, Deonte Banks - the list goes on for fantastic additions to the roster. However, that's still not enough for ESPN to think that the Giants are in the top half talent wise. ESPN just dropped its new power rankings and they somehow have the G-Men at No. 17. What in the heck?

ESPN lists the NY Giants as the No. 17 team in the NFL right now

Come on! What's even more infuriating here is that the Jets have moved all the way up to No. 12 on the list. Yes, we get that Aaron Rodgers is new in town, but can we all please remember that he took a big step backwards in 2022. He was not the same quarterback.

On top of that, teams like the Vikings, Patriots, Steelers and Cowboys are all ahead of the Giants. ESPN has Dallas as the No. 7 team in the league, which is laughable. The oddsmakers think that Dallas will travel to East Rutherford and post a Sunday Night Football win come Week 1 too, but we don't think that's going to happen.

Left and right, people are doubting Brian Daboll and the Giants. This was the main storyline from last season, but NY posted some major upset wins. This included victories over the Titans, Packers, Ravens and the Vikes in the NFC Wild Card Round.

We think there's a solid chance the Giants can go 10-7 this season and get back to the playoffs. Not a lot of analysts agree, as they think there will be a second-year slump for Coach Dabes running the show. Give us a break, that's not going to happen.
