Behind the Face-mask: Bradshaw Opens Up

A report over at the NJ Star Ledger has an interview with Ahmad Bradshaw, as he opens up for the first time about his legal troubles:

"In a group interview that lasted a little more than five minutes, Bradshaw made it clear that his stay in jail was due to two incidents that we already knew about: his arrest for underage drinking and resisting arrest in 2004 and his conviction of petty larceny after allegedly stealing a video game system from a fellow student while enrolled at Marshall."

Well, this is a relief and a puzzler.  It’s a relief because: It shows that Bradshaw has cleaned his act up since being drafted into the NFL.  One of the reasons Bradshaw slipped so far was personality concerns.  The fact that those seem to be behind him bodes well for his future as a Giants.

This is puzzling because:  Why didn’t Bradshaw come out about this originally?  His failure to address this issue led to rampant speculation, which is never good.

The article also confirms that Bradshaw has another 30 days in jail.  Don’t drop the soap Ahmad, and we look forward to seeing him in the regular, if not preseason.
