Plax Suspended

Plaxico Burress was suspended by the Tom Coughlin and Jerry Reese today for an undisclosed violation and will not return to the team until October 6th, a day after the Giants play Seattle in Week 4.

According to FOXSports.com, Burress did not show up on Monday and did not call the team or answers messages to clarify his absence.

Under the new contract Burress received on Opening Night, Burress will earn $2 million this season. The suspension will cost him $235,294.
