The Last Time They Met

This Sunday the Giants will travel to Minnesota to play the Vikings in what is a meaningless game for the G-Men, not so much for the Vikings thanks to the Packers last night. It’s been a while since the Giants and Vikings last met at Giants Stadium on Sunday, November 2007, in Week 12 of last season. At the time the Giants were 7-3 and the Vikings were 4-6. And if you forgot, on that day Eli Manning threw four interceptions (three returned for TDs) as the Giants fell to 7-4 with the 41-17 loss at home.

Watching these highlights could make you sick, but then if you think about what has happened since this game, you can laugh off this embarrassing loss. Because since this loss the Giants have gone 19-5, winning a Super Bowl and now winning their division and the No. 1 seed in the NFC in the process. It while many will choose the Patriots game as the game that turned around the New York Giants organization, you could certainly make a strong case that it was their blowout at the hands of the Vikings.
