OTA(s); Football Camps, and Memorial Day Weekend

facebooktwitterreddit

Good morning on what will be a Giant weekend, happy Memorial Day weekend to all of you, and to those who honorably serve our country (and their families), we thank you and support you everyday, but even more so this weekend!

Giant OTA(s) are underway, Ramses Barden is catching everything (doesn’t that sound a bit too much like last year?), Mario Manningham might be even faster (is that possible), and Guy Whimper is sharing snaps with Rich Seubert on the first team offense (is Whimper really getting a legitimate look at guard?).  So, as always, we caution drawing any conclusions from OTA(s), we have a long way to go.  But, we do hear that the Giants are high on Whimper at guard (and this one makes sense given that valuable reserve Kevin Booth is out indefinitely with a torn pectoral muscle which puts him on the PUP list to start the season if not making him a prime candidate for IR, recovery depending).

Nice to see Ramses Barden make some noise, we also hear rookie safety Chad Jones has been pretty active, making plays in coverage. Hard to get a read on the lineman and linebackers in OTA(s), but reports on Philip Dillard are positive so far.  Again, let’s not get too high or too low here, plenty of time to go!

On another front, we have word that Justin Tuck is holding a football camp on June 12 and June 13, press release below (readers of this site are eligible to receive a discount, we have included that information below):
