Graph: Giants Power Rankings 2002-2009

Today I came across a very interesting visual tool, it’s a graph of the Giants’ Power Rankings over the past several seasons from ESPN.  You could spend all day clicking on the plot points, reminiscing about the games that either turned things right around for Big Blue (week 3 of 2007 against the Redskins) or the week the house of cards came tumbling down (week 6 of 2009 against the Saints).

Interestingly, the 2008 and 2009 seasons were the two seasons with the highest expectations for the Giants in recent memory.  I know one thing though, I’d rather have that 2007 path charted out again for us in 2010, right through to the Superbowl. To that end, if somehow the Giants come out and get hammered the first two games by 40 points, I’ll be the only guy in the room cracking a smile. Here’s to the week 3 turnaround.
