NCAA investigation of the North Carolina football program, the school indicated that Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks had contributed $3,300 in “impermissible extra benefits” to players.

Nicks was one of five people the school said provided “impermissible gifts of cash and jewelry and impermissible assistance” with travel and entertainment expenses.
