Offense Rallies While Defense Holds In A Giant Home Win

Kevin Boss took a pass from Eli Manning, broke a tackle for a key first down and then a whole lot more… he galloped into the end zone with just over 3 minutes to play in what clearly is the defining play of the game. The highlight is below via NFL Video:

But beyond the offense’s fourth quarter rally, the defense’s stellar play in crunch time may end up being the lasting memory from the matchup with the Jaguars.  4 total sacks, 3 forced fumbles and an interception created the momentum for the Giants to get ahead in a must-win home game to keep pace in the playoff race.

The Giants are now 7-4 and in contention for a playoff birth regardless if the Eagles win or lose tonight in Chicago.  At the moment, things look good for the Giants as they host the Redskins next week at home.
