Giants Fans or Foes

After the first thirty minutes of football this past Sunday at the New Meadowlands Stadium, the Giants marched to the beat of the boo birds to the locker room for half time.  The crowd’s reaction was well deserved after witnessing their team play a half of uninspired football in a “must win” game.  The Giants had allowed Maurice Jones Drew, Rashad Jennings, and David Gerrard to run for more yards in the first half than they had allowed in an entire game this season.  With that being said, the game against the Jaguars was extremely hard to watch and looked like the Giants season was over at several points, but is booing the only thing Giants’ fans are good at?

I believe unless they play like they did last year we shouldnt go BOO crazy! I hate how fans want them to make a comeback with us putting them down as much as the other team might be beating them up,does that make any sense? We need to back them up when needed. If you feel them lacking energy a good pick me up is the stadium rocking and chanting DEFENSE! not BOOOOOOOOO! i mean really and then you have the nerve to come on blogs and rip the team rip the players. What if the players went into there press conference and said man our fans suck! Im not saying you should voice your displeasure but if your a true fan you cant just boo at every chance you get.WE ARE THE 12TH MAN,imagine if our defense was allowed a 12th man on the field and hes just running around tackling his own players or better yet how do you feel if you were having a bad day at work and 60,000 people were screaming at booing you?

Figure out if you Love them or Hate them and if you hate them stay your butt home! Go Giants!

After the home blowouts last year to end the season, the crowd doesn’t want to see the Giants get beat at home in a game most feel they should win this season. They flat out didn’t play Giants football in the first half — I think the crowd knew there was a lack of effort there on some level, the players even admitted they came out flat. Maybe the boos woke them up a bit. I think they deserved it if you ask me based on last years let down at home.

Just like for Monday night’s game with the Cardinals getting booed at home, you can surely understand why. The play calls, lack of execution, lack of physicality, lack of effort. They should have been booed… and they were.

They deserved to be booed at half no doubt, but to boo every time your team doesn’t get a first down when you know there’s 6 offensive starters rehabbing is a bit ridiculous. The atmosphere was dead because the players came out flat, but that is something Giants fans can contribute to and become a factor. Every fan should be outta there seat making noise when there’s a third down and the defense is on the field but unfortunately its just not something a majority of Giants fans do.
