Is this Favre’s final game?

Ok, I don’t have any breaking news to report on Brett retiring but with the “QB killers” coming to town I don’t like Favre’s chances of coming out healthy enough to finish out the season. Through out Giant history they’ve been known for hurting quarterbacks. Theismann, Montana….Gus Frerotte, I know he hurt himself but you get the picture.

This season the list is longer than the average season. Matt Moore, Jay Cutler, Todd Collins, Shaun Hill, Tony Romo and if the Giants would’ve turned it on earlier David Garrard wouldn’t of made it to the end of that game. I never wish injury on anyone but Its just a fact that with the G-men’s history of taking out qb’s and all of Brett’s current injuries. It’s almost like Favre is looking to be able to say at the end of the season “I CAN NOT PLAY ANYMORE” I mean forget about football, does Brett think about life after football? Does he think about playing with his grand children, let alone walk? I know he has a passion for the game and its hard to let go but I’m not saying he needs to retire, he just need to heal. Your ego and pride can’t be that big that you can’t let go of a record just to heal your body, honestly the way Favre has played these past couple of years I know that if he would’ve taken some games off to rest, get treatment and maybe would’ve gotten some surgery during his career he would be able to play a couple of more years.

Sunday, the Giants are coming after Favre and with the Offensive line he has protecting I don’t like his chances. If he even makes it through the entire game there going to be a lot of turnovers in our favor. I know the competitor in him won’t let him think twice about playing this game. If I could speak to Favre I would ask him whats kept him from sitting a game or two. I hope its the love of the game not this stupid record because at the end of the day this great sport will be around well after he retires but that doesn’t hold true for Brett’s health after football.
