WR Hixon Back For One More Year

Multiple reports confirm that WR/KR/PR Domenik Hixon has signed a 1 year deal with the NY Giants.

Financials have not been released to the public yet.  Hixon’s season of course ended prematurely last year when he tore his ACL prior to training camp. Resigning him for one year seems to be the going rate for a player whose effectiveness after an injury is yet to be determined.

In any case, this is good for the Giants.  Hixon has returned at least one touchdown per year since he became a NY Giant. Last year without Hixon returning punts and kicks, the Giants were one of only 3 teams in the NFL to not record a special teams touchdown.  That is a significant disadvantage that they will no doubt look to equalize or even take advantage of this year with the ‘return’ of Hixon… pun intended.
