Draft Week: Top LB Candidates

The next LB that stands out is Akeem Ayers. This guy did not have a good Combine. It definitely brought his stock down a bit. But for those that watch college football and have studied his tapes, you can see why he is the 3rd ranked LB in the 2011 class. While he is faster than his Combine speed indicates, he is still not the fastest car out on the track. His strength is definitely in a 3-4 scheme. He is solid stopping the run and is a decent pass rusher. There is plenty of room for him to improve. He should have no problem doing that seeing as how he will end up on either San Diego Or New England…yep..the 17th and 18th pick of the 2011 NFL Draft will be LB’s.
