In a New York Minute

In a New York Minutes is the title I use to give you links to Giants articles around the web.

I’ve been busy as can be over at NFLMocks in the after math of the draft, but I’m still following my beloved Giants as well. There are a few news stories out there.

The first the University of Albany might not be able to hold training camp this year if the lockout continues much longer.  That would be a sad state of things. The Giants have gone their fifteen years in a row and Coughlin has mentioned that he likes to get away for training camp.

ESPN breaks down the New York Giants cornerback position. If Corey Webster can ever get back to his 2008 form the Giants could have the best cornerback group in the entire league. Webster and Thomas are solid, Thomas makes a lot of plays even if he’s not a supreme cover guy, and Webster has Shut-down ability, but Prince Amukamara is the most talented cornerback in that group. He’s more physically gifted than Aaron Ross and Ross is a good player.

Over at NFLMocks I’ll be doing a pick by pick breakdown of the New York Giants.

My thoughts on the first three picks is up

Prince Amukamara

Marvin Austin

Jerrel Jernigan

A cool little story about a Giants scout and the days of yesteryear

And a story on Jacquian Williams  the pick no one saw coming in the draft.
