Much has been written on the Plaxico Burress prison release, so I figured I would add to the narrative and inject my two-cents worth. More than 3 year after the accidental discharge of a firearm, the loss of millions of dollars of income, and serving 20 months of a 24 month stint, a human being is able to reunite with his family.

I find it disconcerting that a bellicose and imperious mayor, seizing on the troubles of another, in a cynical effort to promote his own political/ideological agenda would not be taken to task. So here I go: The Mayor immediately positioned himself as judge, jury, and executioner. He intentionally polluted the jury pool, demanded a guilty verdict, and attached the maximum possible sentence. And this, His Eminence, did for the sole purpose of promoting his third mayoral term campaign, in violation of the canons of Manhattan term limits. Oh that’s right, this law and order charlatan was able to change the law for his convenience and after expending a record amount of money on a city wide campaign eked out a victory.
