Video: Plaxico Burress On Teams Of Interest For 2011 Season

Plaxico Burress joined a panel of NFL Network analysts to discuss potential landing spots for the WR this season. Most notable teams discussed include the St. Louis Rams, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Houston Texans, and Philadelphia Eagles.

Plaxico did say that he and coach Steve Spanuolo have a good relationship — I think the NY > St. Louis connection is one that everyone has their eye on when it comes to Burress. The Giants would play the Rams early on in week 2 — could be interesting if he ends up playing there.

Other topics of interest include Plaxico’s comfort level in terms of offensive schemes – to which he replied “two back systems” are where his comfort level remains. When asked if he’s thinking about playing for multiple teams under one year contracts over the next few years — Burress didn’t have an answer. Obviously he and his agent are going to test the waters of free agency first and foremost when the new CBA is in place any day now, and then come up with a strategy after that. It worked out well for Michael Vick, and Burress’ closeness with Vick lately can be seen as a sketch for how Burress will hope to chart the resurgence of his career in the NFL.
