NFL Total Access wonders if the clock is ticking for Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo.
Short answer: YES.
Long answer: The clock has been ticking for Romo, loudly, for the past 5 years. Arguably the best chance was when the 2007 Giants advanced to the NFC Championship instead of “America’s Team” much to Jerry Jones’ chagrin after they already booked their air fare to the Superbowl. The rest is history — and the Cowboys have seemingly gotten worse each year since. 1 playoff game in 15 years, ouch. That clock is an albatross around Romo’s neck and everyone knows it, especially Romo.
He may have made the Top 100 ahead of Eli Manning, but that doesn’t mean squat when it comes to winning championships.
