According to NFP — Osi Umenyiora and GM Jerry Reese had a good conversation yesterday… but no one knows what exactly that entails.
Pat Hanlon, a spokesman for the Giants, reports that coach Tom Coughlin just told media that “one of good things from (Saturday) is that Osi and (general manager) Jerry Reese had a good conversation.”
If the Giants front office and Umenyiora can find some way to put the past behind them and focus on sacking QB’s and forcing fumbles en route to making the playoffs and perhaps get another shot at a ring — now that would a good topic of discussion. Frankly, between the lockout, salary cap, and Osi’s injury in 2008, and guys like Brandon Jacobs restructuring contracts for the betterment of the team — I don’t see how in the world there’s anything more to discuss between the two parties.
Time to get to work folks… let the talk happen on the field. That’s where Osi operates best afterall
