The Way I’ll Always Remember CB Bruce Johnson

CB Bruce Johnson suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon tonight at practice and as Pat Traina said it’s a safe assumption that he’s going to be done for the 2011 season. And that’s a problem for the Giants, they need all the depth they can handle at CB. And so it is I guess, the nature of the NFL and injuries coming when you least expect it.

With that I’d like to do a video salute to Bruce Johnson with a trip down memory lane — back to 2009 when the Giants were visiting the Cowboys down at Neverland Ranch, I mean Jerry’s World. And even though it took place two seasons ago, this single play is how I’d like to remember CB Bruce Johnson for the rest of his career… because it may never get better than him blowing up Tony Romo and the Cowboys with a pick 6 during the Cowboy’s debut home game at their new stadium, when they guaranteed a Superbowl appearance in their own stadium, a dream smashed to pieces when they hosted the Giants week #2 of 2009.

The Giants of course went on to win that amazing game, a record setting 9 lead changes took place in a back and forth NFC East battle that the GMEN came out on top of. Bruce Johnson, we here at GMEN HQ wish you well and hope you have a fast recovery.
