Rapid Reaction-Steve Smith

So Steve Smith has or is about to sign with the Eagles. Steve Smith basically indicated that the GIANTS were unwilling to pay him (and guarantee) the money the Eagles did. Also, Smith appeared to be irked by Tom Coughlin indicating his injury could be a “long haul.” Well Steve….

Bon Voyage! Enjoy the trip down 95 south. Your short time is New York was memorable but that is exactly what it was…short. You had the chance to be the next Armani Toomer, but you will be nothing more than “other” Steve Smith. Enjoy playing in Philly. Let us know how it feels to get booed when you drop a pass, get injured (when Vick leads you into that MLB), or don’t see the field because you are not healthy. Coughlin may be gruff but we all know how serious your injury was (ask Kenny Phillips). So unless the Philly doctors have seen something different, maybe Coughlin is right?

Will the GIANTS miss you? Probably. However, only time will tell. This much is sure though. You will never be cheered at GIANTS stadium again in the foreseeable future. By going to the Eagles, Steve Smith may just receive the Tiki Barber treatment the next time he comes to the Meadowlands.
