Recap David Diehl on WFAN
By Tom Brant
A quick recap of GIANTS guard David Diehl on WFAN today with Mike Francesa while Francesa was at GIANTS camp:
- It was tough to see O’Hara and Seubert leave.
- BAAS has done a great job coming in, learning the playbook and is a blue collar/ hard worker.
- He is comfortable playing the LG position. He has played it in training camp before.
- Different mindset for playing guard. Believes his speed and understanding of the game will help while battling slower defense lineman.
- David believes most players are happy with the new NFL CBA deal. They lost a lot of time though, which certainly has not helped the young guys.
- David has worked with the young guys allot this camp. The learning curve has been shortened and there are no excuses for mental lapses!
- Was passionate that the NFL did a much better job taking care of the older players with this new CBA–Diehl stated everyone has an “expiration date and I’m no different.”
- When talking about the Eagles (cowboys, redskins, etc) every year someone looks good on paper. The GIANTS are only worried about themselves, but they are looking towards getting revenge.
- Is looking forward to the Jets game saying it will be “fun.”
