NFL Supplemental Draft – Today at 1pm

facebooktwitterreddit

The supplemental draft is taking place today, no cameras or anything like that inside the room so word of who picked whom will be mostly acheived via online purposes, such as twitter.

Here is a nice description of the process via PFT:

"It’s a weighted lottery, with “dibs” for the worst six teams sorted out first, then the next 14, then the 12 playoffs teams.  Last year, for example, the Browns had the top position in the supplemental draft, even though the Rams had first pick in the April draft. To expedite the process, teams have a window at the start of each round to submit the name of a player, if any, they’d like to take.  The player is then awarded to the team with the highest position in the round who claimed him.  Any pick used by a team in the 2011 supplemental draft is forfeited in the 2012 draft."

The Giants did not attend Terrelle Pryor’s workouts, and  I would be really surprised if they made any selections today.  But, funnier things have happened — like losing Burress, Smith and Boss to other teams this past offseason.  Ooofff.

Too soon?
