#53 Week 3 Edition

This preseason we will be looking at the players that are on the #53 bubble. As a recap here were the players who we thought were on the bubble for the second preseason game: Gabe Watson DL, Darius Reynaud WR, Victor Cruz WR, Brown RB, and Ross CB.

Well, we all know the injuries mounted in the second preseason game. Because of those injuries it appears that Aaron Ross is now safe (and will most likely be the number two corner). Here is who I believe (after some research) are the five New York Giants who are on the bubble.

1.) Andre Brown RB (Da’rel Scott has been putting on a show in camp and in the games. The GIANTS have been impressed with him and he is making a push to be on this team).

2.) Matt Dodge K (He was on this list week one then off and now back on. He is in an all out battle for the starting punting job. The organization wants him to win it, but he needs a STRONG showing again tonight).

3.) Sage Rosenfels QB (Sage did not play last week and David Carr looked good, real good. Sage is due a significant amount of money if he makes the team. Carr is due the veteran minimum. Sage’s days appear to be numbered).

4.) Darius Reynaud WR (It appears Devin Thomas has won the kick return job. Crux and Hixon are battling for the third and fourth receiver spot. You still have Clayton, Jernigan, and Barden on the roster. I do not see room for Reynaud. He is certainly not better than Clayton or Jernigan. It is a toss up between him and Barden).

5.) Lawrence Tynes K (His injury keeps lingering and he is not all that impressive of kicker to begin with. If Lloyd has another clean sheet tonight, The GIANTS may be saying By By Tynes).
