Joselio Hanson Will Be Released

There’s word coming out that the Dream Team plans on cutting cornerback Joselio Hanson today. We all know that injuries have depleted the Giants cornerback depth.The Dream Team was trying to trade Hanson but didn’t find any takers because no team in the NFL wants to give something up when they know they can get him for nothing if they wait.

Hanson could make a nice addition as a nickel corner for the Giants if he’s willing to take a paycut. The reason the Eagles cut him was because he was going to make $7.6 million dollars in the next three seasons and that was a lot to pay somebody who’s fourth on the depth chart after Nnamdi Asomugha, Asante Saumel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. However, the Giants might not want to pay a whole lot for Hanson’s services and we still don’t know yet what the final 53-man roster for them will be. But Hanson is a name to keep in mind if other cornerback needy teams like the Panthers and Rams don’t scoop him up first.
