Giants Safeties Fined $30,000 – But Phillips Was Never Flagged

According to multiple reports, Antrel Rolle has been fined $20,000 for his helmet to helmet hit on a defenseless receiver. Kenny Phillips was also fined $10,000 for a hit to the neck and head area of a player but was never flagged for a penalty.

via PFT:

The New York Giants’ starting safeties have been fined a total of $30,000 for a pair of hits in Sunday’s 28-14 loss to the Washington Redskins.

Antrel Rolle was fined $20,000 for spearing, while Kenny Phillips was fined $10,000 for striking an opponent in the head and neck area.

Phillips had a good game overall, Rolle basically lost the game for the Giants on his penalized/fined hit. Phillips plans to appeal, I hope he wins his case.
