WR Steve Smith Makes First Catches For Philadelphia Eagles

It was bound to happen, Steve Smith who was listed “probable” for the Eagles @ Atlanta game last night saw the field and made his first two receptions as a Philadelphia Eagle.

Smith went 2 for yards and 0 TD’s in the game against Atlanta on Sunday Night Football, and in my fantasy league where he rides the bench on my team, he scored 4.90 points. Although he was never coming off my bench, I’m actually kind of surprised that he played to be honest. I mean Brandon Lloyd who started for me didn’t have jack squat and Steve Smith did? Kind of odd…. Anyway I’m sure the Giants are not surprised they will be seeing their old slot receiver in action against them next week. Smith finished his rehab right on schedule and his two receptions bode well for him. He had one for 9 yards and another long one for 20 yards.

I have no plans to start him next week, no matter how badly I think Andy Reid and the Eagles will want to feature him against his former team… the class acts that they are. No I’m just going to leave him on my fantasy bench and watch him get out produced by other starting recievers so no one else can utilize him, just the way the Eagles did to the Giants.
