Redskins Capitalize On Former Cowboy D-Lineman Knowledge

Giants fans all remember Rocket-gate from Week 1, or the audible heard round the world. Ex-Giants Barry Cofield was allegedly feeding the Redskins Eli Manning’s audible names and a screen pass was notably picked off and returned for a TD in the 3rd quarter.

Well as it turns out, the Redskins were capitalizing on the knowledge of former Dallas Cowboy Defensive Lineman Stephen Bowen last night on MNF to force all those botched snaps from Center Phil Costa.

via PFT:

"ESPNDallas.com suggested that former Cowboys defensive end Stephen Bowen, who now plays for the Redskins, might have helped the Redskins learn Romo’s cadences to fool Costa into snapping the ball.Disconcerting signals happen often in the NFL but are rarely called. Titans quarterback Matt Hasselbeck accused Broncos defensive lineman Kevin Vickerson of doing the same thing on Sunday."

Looks like the Redskins are giving themselves every opportunity with those former NFC East players afterall… we’ll see if the league releases a statement about this one.
