Fantasy Projections: Eli Manning and Larry Fitzgerald

According to Rotoworld analyst Ed Williams, Eli Manning is going to have another great game Sunday in what could turn out to be a shootout in Arizona this week.

Eli Manning:

"In the first few weeks, I was going with more pricey quarterbacks that were sure things. Even though Eli Manning is known to throw a pick or two, he’s been finding the end zone with quite a bit of regularity and is a great value pick here. Manning bounced back from a bad opening game against Washington to throw two TDs against the Rams and then four against the vaunted Eagles secondary. Arizona is not known for its defense, so look for Eli to have another big day…"

But Eli’s not the only aspect of the Giants gaining attention this week — the Gaints defensive secondary is also coming under fire with Cardinals’ star receiver Larry Fitzgerald looking to light things up in Arizona this week.

Larry Fitzgerald vs. Giants

"While the Eagles failed to exploit the Giants’ ravaged secondary last week, don’t expect the same from Fitzgerald. He now has a touchdown in each of his last two games, and Kevin Kolb is getting more and more used to playing with the elite WR. Look for Fitzgerald to carry the Cardinals’ offense this week in what could easily turn into a shootout."

I don’t know that I see the Giants defense giving up a ton of big plays through the air this week — and even if they do I certainly expect the goal line defense to let the Cardinals waltz into the endzone. Bend but don’t break is the name of the game with the Giants defense, but Aaron Ross and Corey Webster each had good game last week and have shown progress since the beginning of the season. Coupled with stellar play from JPP, Jaquain Williams, and Michael Boley — this could be a very lopsided game with the Giants convincingly owning this one on both sides of the ball.
