Giants Cap Space Update

If you were hoping the Giants would bring in a free agent such as Bryan McCann, who has just signed a two-year deal to play in Baltimore, you should brace yourself for the Giants’ roster pretty much looking the same for the rest of the year. Unless they work some cap magic.

PFT just published an updated cap numbers list and the Giants have the 32nd most money available, aka, dead last in cap space in the the NFL.

How much money do they have to spend on players who have contracts expiring within the next two seasons or injury replacement players for this season? A whopping $70,000.

Compare that to the team with the highest cap room available, the Jaguars, at $35.4 million. Oh well, I’d rather be a Giants fan rooting for this team than a Jaguars fan with a lot of money to spend.
