Vic, the outcome would have been COMPLETELY different. The fact that Cruz slipped and tipped the ball into the air on the timing pattern makes all the diference in the world. As we learned last year, tipped balls into the heart of the defense go for INTs and some of the time, it turns into a Pick 6. And that was all she wrote yesterday. Now if it had been caught, or even have been batted incomplete, there was a good chance for a game cinching TD there for the Giants. It didn’t go that way for the GMEN, and the whole game obviously turned on that one play. It was unfortunate that things ended that way for the Giants — it wasn’t an exemplary finishing performance simply because Cruz happened to slip in the most critical moment of the drive.
