Brandon Jacobs Doesn’t Think He’ll Be A Giant Long

"No, I don’t."

Those three words were used by Brandon Jacobs in an interview he did with Men’s Fitness to answer the question of whether or not he thinks he’ll be back with the Giants after his current contract runs out.

The concerns over Jacobs have always revolved around his style of play that could lead to multiple injuries, which it has, and his moments of hotheadness that we’ve witnessed off and on the field.

His injuries this year, his being the clear #2 RB behind Bradshaw and the Giants become a pass first offense have all added up to Jacobs having only a 3.1 YPC average this year. With $4.9 million dollars due to Jacobs he probably won’t be back as Bradshaw’s back-up unless he takes another significant pay cut but that seems highly unlikely.
