Giants: Time to Finish!

The theme of this year from the first day the players set foot in the Timex Performance Center day  at the shortened training camp and off- season was FINISH!  Today the New York Football Giants get a chance to make good on their coaches message in the Super Bowl.  This is the ultimate accomplishment for a team.  A Team that has disappointed the previous two years. A Team that looked like it didn’t care at times.  A Team that looked at times like it needed a complete overhaul.  It shows the power of coaching, the power of consistency, and the power of a well delivered message. FINISH!

The players of this team have bought into the coaches message as the year has progressed.  Each in his own way and on his own schedule.  The leaders of the group such as Eli Manning and Justin Tuck started to use it in their press conferences.  They started to utter the word FINISH in interviews.  They started to have it permeate throughout the group. Once the players started hearing the message clearly from every level it certainly started to show in their play.  Because Finishing a season starts with Finishing games. Which starts with Finishing halves and quarters. Which starts with Finishing Drives. Which starts with Finishing plays.

The message has been clear since the beginning.  Do your job, play as a team, and Finish!  The goal for this organization, as it should be for every organization, is to WIN Championships. Not to have a winning record, not to make the playoffs, not to make it to the game….but to WIN!

It’s time to FINISH!
