Born March 21, 1908 as John V. Mara, “Jack” Mara died from cancer at the young age of 57 on June 29, 1965. Jack Mara graduated with a law degree from Fordham University and assumed the role President of the New York Giants in 1941. Along with Wellington Mara, he assumed ownership of the team in 1959.
