Eli Manning Restructures Contract

As posted by Ralph Vacchiano, Eli Manning has restructured his contract:

"The two-time Super Bowl MVP agreed to a sizeable, but simple, restructuring of his contract which clears approximately $6.75 million in salary cap space for the Giants in 2012. Manning doesn’t lose any money. He simply gets more of his money now. But the help was huge for a team that had been currently projected to be over the expected 2012 cap."

Eli continues to help the Giants on and off the field. With restructuring his contact he has given the Giants so much needed cap room. Without this move by Eli the Giants would be in serious cap trouble. Although they do not have extensive cap room now they do have some flexibility.  It will still be seen if Jacobs or McKenzie come back to the Giants. However, if they do not the Giants will now be able to dabble in free agency to look for some help.
