Titans Shaun Smith a Giant?

The Tennessee Titans found themselves deep at defensive tackle, so deep in fact that they just released 9 year veteran Shaun Smith.  Could he be on his way back to New York and the Giants.  Shaun was born and raised in Brooklyn, and at age 31 just might enjoy a trip home after spending his career in New Orleans, Cincinnati, Kansas City and most recently Tennessee.

Smith, listed at 6’2″ and 325 could be a great insurance policy if Shaun Rogers doesn’t make a full recovery, or even if he makes a partial recovery and can return in let’s say week 8.  Now carrying two guys to eventually play one position might not be the best move, but adding depth to a position that still has many question marks does make sense.
