Giants: A Fearsome Front Seven

facebooktwitterreddit

All Giant fans know that the defense has been associated with it’s front four the past few years, and they had something called the Nascar package where the best and quickest pass rushers are all on the field together.  Our friend Joe Gannascoli from Sopranos fame brought up a great point yesterday:

Imagine it’s 3rd and 8, or even 7, or worse….your QB steps up to the line and looks across and sees a healthy, happy, motivated OSI, and thinks, well we better get him blocked, then next to him is Justin Tuck, hmm, and then there’s this guy named Ojomo who is pretty big and fast, well maybe we can block him with one guy…next to him?  OH, That’s JPP…hmmm, let’s see two guys for Osi, two for Tuck, one for Ojomo hopefully, and two for JPP…I’ll have to keep the back and maybe the tight end in to block…then you look up and see Kiwanuka…Rivers….Williams….I better get rid of this thing quick!

The new Fearsome 7 on passing downs!
