Beckum Activated, Petrus Waived

Travis Beckum, who has more than frustrated Giants fans since his drafting out of the University of Wisconsin, was activated today from the Physically Unable to Perform list.  Beckum, who tore his ACL in the Super Bowl, has had one big play in his Giants career which came against the Green Bay Packers.  If he was hoping for a quiet return as Martellus Bennett and Bear Pascoe manned the position, he will not get his wish.  With the injury to Pascoe, that leaves just rookie Adrien Robinson to back up  Bennett.

By making this move it appears that Pascoe’s injury might be more than a one week thing, and that the progression of Robinson might not be what the Giants expected.  Earlier in the year when Henry Hynoski had to leave a game, the Giants played Pascoe at full back and had David Diehl play TE on running plays.  Look for a few different combinations of personnel on Sunday.

Mitch Petrus was waived to make room for Travis Beckum.
