Giants To Go Without Three Injured Starters Against Falcons (Inactives)

The Giants are coming into today’s game against the Atlanta Falcons with major questions concerning their defense and running game. Their pass rush for the most part this season has been inconsistent and that could be a problem today against the pass-happy Falcons. Making things even more challenging for the Giants today is that their secondary is banged up. Cornerback Prince Amukamara (hamstring) won’t play today. This means that  rookie Jayron Hosley will start opposite Corey Webster with safety Antrel Rolle moving over to the nickel back position. Kenny Phillips and Tyler Sash are also inactive today.

Running back Ahmad Bradshaw (knee) won’t play today and that means rookie David Wilson will get the start. Wilson is coming off a breakthrough and record-setting performance last week against New Orleans, he’s going to get fully tested today and we’ll see if he’s ready to take on the extra load. I would look for the Giants to try and get Eli’ Manning’s passing game going early against the Falcons to try and take some of that load off their running game. However, the Falcons have not been very good against the run this season.

Here are today’s Inactives:

RB Ahmad Bradshaw, CB Prince Amukamara, S Kenny Phillips, S Tyler Sash, DE Adewale Ojomo, TE Adrien Robinson, DT Marvin Austin.

* Falcons wide receiver Roddy White (knee) will play today, according to reports. That will make things even more challenging for an already banged up Giants defensive secondary.
