Giants: Back to Work

facebooktwitterreddit

The Giants have been hard at work since they beat the Eagles in the final game of the 2012 season, unfortunately it’s been off the field work.  The Giants signed 13 playeras to reserve/future contracts.  They are:

"The Giants today announced the signing of 13 players to reserve/future contracts, including six who ended the season on the team’s practice squad: tackles Matt McCants, the Giants’ sixth-round draft choice last year, and Levy Adcock; guard Stephen Goodin; tight endLarry Donnell; defensive end Matt Broha; and cornerbackLaron Scott."

The other players are Curtis Painter, a QB that started 8 games for the Colts in 2011, LB Jake Muassau who played on three pre-season games this year for the Giants, Wide Receiver Brandon Collins, CB Trumaine McBride, a 7th round draft pick of the Bears, WR Kevin Hardy, Guard Michael Jasper, another 7th round pick in 2007, and defensive tackle Bobby Skinner.

It’s important for the Giants to remain busy in this early part of the post season as many teams continue to search for GM’s and coaches.  Having the ability to get a jump on these teams is important in building depth at certain positions.  So while teams like the Jets have their coaches on vacation, and are waiting a list of GM candidates from an outside source….the Giants are working.
