Sam Montgomery was rated as the 7th best draft eligible prospect by SI’s Draft analyst Tony Pauline back in June, so obviously the talent level is there. His speed and agility are his calling card, as he used those skills to become the 8th best in LSU’s history for sacks with (18), and 9th in tackles for loss with (31.5) throughout his brief career. After managing 8 sacks in his junior year, the 6’5 260 pound former tiger will be a big help for the Giants as they continue to put out a monster front seven year after year.
