As Free Agency begins in the NFL, the New York Giants have made a move designed to bolster their Defensive Line.  The Giants released Chris Canty and expect to lose Osi Umenyiora this week, so signing Jenkins is a logical move to begin the project of rebuilding the pass rush.

Jenkins was released by the Eagles less than two weeks ago in a cost cutting move, and has signed a 3-year 8 million dollar deal according to Kimberly Jones of NFL Network.  Jenkins was part of the Eagles spending spree in 2011, the first time they guaranteed they would win a Super Bowl, and started all 32 games with 9.5 sacks on a poorly coached defense.
