Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin has been traded to the the Seattle Seahawks. In the exchange, the Vikings have acquired several draft picks including one first round pick.
Harvin joins Sydney Rice and Russell Wilson in Seattle creating a very dynamic receiving trio that is sure to give opposing secondaries a lot of trouble.
Harvin was in the final year of his rookie-year contract and it was not expected that he would be traded. In fact, Rick Spielman, the Vikings general manager, recently stated he was not interested in trading Harvin because he is a “dynamic playmaker.”
