NFL Training Camps Injury Report

We discussed after the first few days of training camp how the injury bug had hit some star players and how GM’s were already scrambling lookin for replacements and how to salvage their best laid plans.  Well, it’s heading into week three and with only one pre-season game played, here are a list of major injuries.

Seattle Seahawks: Percy Harvin…Harvin was supposed to be the big play guy to take the Seahawks to the next level coupled with QB Russell Wilson.  Percy is out for the season.

The Baltimore Ravens has lost TE Dennis Pitta as previously discussed.  He is also out for the season along with Center Ryan Jensen.

The Carolina Panthers will be wothout WR Lamont Bryant for the season and LB Jon Beason is looking towards a week one return from knee surgery.

The Chicago Bears have lost DE Turk McBride for the year.

The Cincinnati Bengals will be without WR Andrew Hawkins for the season.

The Denver Broncos have lost Center Dan Koppen for the year and may have lost Center J.D. Walton also for the season.

The Houston Texans will be without TE Phillip Supernaw for the remainder of the year.

The Indianapolis Colts lost NT Brandon McKinney to a knee injury.

The Chiefs lost CB Sanders Commings to a shoulder injury for the season.

The Patriots have listed former New York Giant TE Jake Ballard as week to week…but the Pats never disclose any truth in injury reports.

The Jets lost another CB in Aaron Berry for the season.

The Eagles will be down a linebacker with Jason Phillips out for the season.

The Chargers lost LB Melvin Ingram to knee surgery

The 49ers may be the most hard hit team in the league losing WR Michael Crabtree, RB Marcus Lattimore, LB Patrick Willis, CB Chris Culliver, and LB Darius Fleming all for varying amounts of time.

These are just some of the more major injuries reported around the NFL, and contact drills have barely begun.  Pre-season kicks off for real next weekend and there will be more names to add to the list.
